This Thursday and Friday, several schools across the country are going to have
"global warming teach-ins" to raise more awareness of global warming, just in case there is anyone out there who has not heard of it before.
The first day of the conference will offer a program called "Focus the Nation: Global Warming Solutions for America." Representatives from Lynn Regional Wastewater, the state Department of Agricultural Resources, the New England Clean Energy Council, and the Global Warming Education Network are scheduled to make presentations. Topics will include wind power, sustainable agriculture, green building, shoreline loss, and a Native American sustainability philosophy.
Here is the web site for Focus the Nation.
Where does the money come from for all these organizations?
One of the sponsors is Voiceyourself.com, which is affiliated or belongs to the actor Woody Harrelson. And if your interested in his thoughts about this world, read his poem. I think he would be happier in the forests of the Congo.
