Do What I Say - But It Is Not My Fault

In the U.S. Army, you would not be able to find a commander anywhere who would ask someone to do something he/she would not or hadn't already done.  Yet, this bozo at The Earth Blog put a disclaimer on this article so that anyone who would take his advice, well, he didn't have anything to do with it.

Disclaimer: Publication of the following list does not imply any responsibility on the author’s part – the person carrying out the listed actions takes full responsibility for the outcome of these actions. The author only condones activities that are permitted under local jurisdiction; all other activities are the personal choice of the actor.
He is advocating acting like an idiot by doing things that will do nothing but get you into trouble and cost you a bunch of money or get you sued. I am not sure how the laws work in the U.K., but any ding-dong who thinks this stuff is a good idea in the states deserves some financial loss and community service. And any lawyer in the U.S. worth his wieght in peanuts could get around that disclaimer.

Here are just a few of the great ideas of his on how to sow the seeds of civil disobedience all for the sake of the planet.

· Post articles or make comments on web sites suggesting that “Company X” is in financial trouble. There are all sorts of variations on this to create a lack of public / investor confidence.

· Remove adverts from public transport.

· Pretend you work for a company, and call up radio and TV stations to speak on their behalf. Expose the truth behind the company.

· Remove commercial advertising (billboards, posters, displays) from your local area or, if that’s not possible, alter it to give it a more accurate meaning.
Here is one that I am not sure what it has to do with all of this, but I guess courtesy and good manners are not desirable traits of the modern day environmentalist...

· If someone calls you “sir” or “madam”, or any other word of subservience, ask them not to. Talk to them using first names.

Being subservient is so last year.
