Al Gore's 'Young Reader' Edition Of New Book

Planet Gore has a funny take on Al Gores New book for youngsters.

Nothing like details, especially in a book geared to young readers. If you want to create a brainwashed generation of American green shirts — the northern half of the Western hemisphere certainly dominates the globe, eh? — at least make sure the cover of your catechism of doom has hurricanes spinning in the correct direction. And a good chunk of Central America is gone. How much do sea levels have to rise to wipe out so much of Mexico, and yet leave a sliver of Florida?

But he does bring up a good point. Lefty idealists do a far superior job at using education to direct young people in their direction. The left wing of this country have taken over the teachers association (NEA) as well as nearly every university in every state. We on the right have so many battles to fight, and we are surely losing this one. It is twice as hard to change a mind then it is to give that same mind its initial ideas and philosophies.
Our problem is we like to leave that up to the parents. It is part of what we believe to be the personal aspect of life. We want, as parents, to teach our values to our children, rather than some brain-washed educator at a public institution. Unfortunatly, we as a civilization are allowing this to happen. There are lots of reasons, but the biggest is that a high percentage of families have both mom and dad working. So, they push off more and more of their childrens education to others.
Don't get me wrong, I think leaving that to parents is exactly the right thing, The real issue here is as I said - we aren't doing it. Parents must for ever be mindful of what is going into their childrens head.
Al's book is one of those things some are allowing to be given to their children. Watch out! It's coming to a grade school near you!
